ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
I began photography at a young age with a 110 camera that belonged to my dad. I was always taking photos of our pets and the beautiful locations we visited while on vacation all over the United States.
Like any horse crazy little girl I dreamed of having a horse of my own. My family couldn't afford one so I collected model horses to fill that void. I started taking pictures of my models so I could 'photo show' them and win prizes. I finally saved up enough money to get a 'real' Canon camera with autofocus and everything!
I continued taking photos for myself for many years. I photographed anything from breathtaking landscapes to close encounters with wildlife. I took a few photography classes here and there and even joined the local photo club to share and learn.
In 2005 I finally made the switch to digital equipment and haven't looked back. I shoot with Canon cameras and lenses.
In 2006 I started my photography business. This combined my passion for photography with my love of horses and offered a service for the local community. I continue to take courses and I have a personal goal to take at least one workshop or seminar per year to improve and expand my skills. This is my commitment to you, my client. I occasionally photograph weddings, senior portraits and family portraits.
I share my life with my husband, seven horses, four dogs and two cats. The horses include three Mustangs, two PMU draft cross rescues, a slaughter rescue and an ancient Appaloosa. The dogs and cats are all rescues in some way as well.
